2024: Record-breaking relief
For some, the year 2024 defies description. For E4E Relief, it was the year of record-breaking relief, change, compassion and compelling stories from people who survived real hardships and a historic disaster season.
Our clients rose to the occasion, standing in the gap for their people through every imaginable (and unimaginable) crisis. The generosity and leadership of our clients is remarkable and raises the bar for a sustainable and equitable disaster response. The E4E Relief team also dug in and relayed the determination and accountability to our mission.
Every statistic tells a story. Behind these numbers are moments of resilience, compassion and impact. In our 23rd year, we witnessed extraordinary growth in donations and grants awarded, reflecting both the remarkable need and the collective power of responding through philanthropy.
Our grantees say...
“The Eaton Employee Relief Fund really helped everyone. They made me feel important, we were treated with respect and compassion. I feel like I am very lucky to work at this company.”
- Hurricane Helene grantee
"It really helped me at a negative and hard time in my life. I was going through domestic abuse and needed to move and some other assistance with life and that was provided. Everyone I talked to was very helpful, efficient, and easy to talk to. I appreciate that and want to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
- Domestic violence grantee
“I was staying in my car before I found a place because my home had water in it and within a week’s time mold was growing. The Blue Assist fund was incredible. They made sure we had places to sleep and supplies, in addition to having this program in place for relief.”
- Hurricane Helene grantee

Key Stats
Relief built
to scale
This disaster season, E4E Relief expanded operational capacity to 500% of pre-season levels to meet increased demands.
Hurricane Helene Community Fund
The Hurricane Helene Community Fund, established by E4E Relief, was an unique opportunity for our team to support individuals throughout the community who may not otherwise be connected to an emergency relief program. Through direct charitable grants, the fund supports recovery and rebuilding efforts such as housing repairs, transportation, essential home contents, etc., empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and contribute to their community’s recovery.
Global Relief
In 2024, E4E Relief continued its longstanding commitment to supporting communities worldwide, providing Emergency Financial Relief to individuals after events such as the Spain and Brazil floods. We remain committed to being the most-trusted global partner in times of crisis.

Hardship
Very often, disasters receive most of the attention in the Emergency Financial Relief world, but our comprehensive solution also includes financial assistance for hardship events. Examples include unexpected medical expenses, spouse or partner loss of income, death, home damage, car accidents, domestic violence and Mental Health & Well-being needs.
Our Hardship Relief program exists to ensure that, when these unexpected events happen,
individuals have the autonomy to reclaim their personal resilience, resolve acute financial emergencies
and get the help they need to restore stability and normalcy.

Whether financial assistance is needed for relocation from immediate danger, unexpected medical expenses or sudden financial changes, E4E Relief awarded nearly $2M in cash grants to help people mitigate the difficult circumstances associated with domestic violence.
Thought Leadership
Our industry is still evolving and maturing and E4E Relief leaders have some of the longest tenures in the field. This fact creates unique opportunities for meaningful conversations alongside our clients, partners and other respected thought leaders. Last year, we discussed topics including adapting to a changing climate, building resilience by reimagining workplace well-being, managing workplace disruption, disaster readiness playbook and more. As part of our mission we appreciate the opportunities in key HR, CSR and ESG spaces to relay what we have learned in responding to crisis for over 23 years alongside some of the largest companies in the world.
